World Logic Day
January 14 · Level 5 · #1283 of 2238

Held under the banner of UNESCO, this day reminds us that clear, careful reasoning matters everywhere: in science, in technology and even in everyday arguments.
How it is celebrated: schools, universities and learned societies host lectures, open classes and puzzle tournaments. At home or in the office, a team brain-teaser session does the job nicely.
The date is no accident: the logician Alfred Tarski was born on 14 January 1901, and Kurt Gödel died on 14 January 1978. UNESCO proclaimed the day in 2019.
