World Children's Football Day
June 19 · Level 9 · #367 of 2238

This day is for young players, their coaches and their parents. It celebrates a simple idea: a game with a ball teaches children to make friends, cooperate and reach a goal together.
How it is celebrated: kids' clubs and schools organise friendly matches, festivals and training sessions, and children of every age and skill level get onto the pitch just for the joy of it.
Youth football usually uses smaller teams, smaller pitches and smaller goals, so every child touches the ball more often and has a real chance to be the hero of the match.
