World Interfaith Harmony Week

World Interfaith Harmony Week takes place during the first week of February as a United Nations observance. It encourages people with different beliefs to build understanding and work for peace while keeping their own convictions and traditions.

How it is celebrated: faith communities and civic organisations arrange open meetings, conversations and educational events. Shared charitable projects turn respectful discussion into practical help for neighbours in need.

The invitation extends to people without a religious faith. The initiative includes the principle of love of the good and love of one's neighbour, allowing participation without subscribing to a particular religious teaching.
