Children's Day in Thailand
January 10 · Level 8 · #663 of 2238

Children's Day in Thailand falls on the second Saturday of January. It is a day when grown-ups listen a little harder to kids and try to give them a fun time.
How it is celebrated: army bases, zoos, museums and government offices open their doors to children, and kids can climb into the cabs of military vehicles. Schools and companies organise contests, games and treats, and children receive small gifts.
Every year the Prime Minister of Thailand announces a motto for Children's Day, a short piece of advice that then echoes across the country.
