Race Your Mouse Around the Icons Day
August 28 · Level 3 · #1785 of 2238
This is a playful day for everyone who spends hours at a computer. It reminds us that it is fine to simply play with the cursor and give your eyes and brain a short breather.
How it is celebrated: colleagues race their cursors around the desktop, weaving between icons and folders against the clock. You can invent a track with tricky corners, time each run with a stopwatch or keep a team score in the office chat.
The first computer mouse prototype by Douglas Engelbart, built in the 1960s, had a wooden shell rather than a plastic one.
