Make Up Your Own Holiday Day

This unofficial day gives everyone permission to become a holiday inventor: pick an occasion, a name and a few traditions. No approval or stamp is needed, only a good mood.

How it is celebrated: friends, families and colleagues dream up playful dates, such as a Day of the First Warm Tea, and hold a small ceremony for them on the spot. Kids draw posters, while adults write the rules and plan the snacks.

Many holidays we know today began as one person's idea that others picked up, so your made-up day might just stick, at least within your own circle.
