Solitude Day
March 26 · Level 1 · #2193 of 2238

Solitude Day is an informal occasion to enjoy your own company and notice what you need. It makes room for quiet time, personal interests and the simple pleasure of choosing your own pace, without treating time alone as something to explain away.
How it is celebrated: there are no fixed traditions. A solo walk, a book, a journal or an evening with notifications switched off can all suit the occasion.
Solitude and loneliness are different things. Someone can feel lonely in a crowded room, while another person spending an afternoon alone may feel perfectly connected and content.
