Lithuanian Warriors' Day
November 23 · Level 9 · #439 of 2238
Lithuanian Warriors' Day is a thank-you to the people who serve in the armed forces and to veterans who defended the country. It is tied to the founding of the Lithuanian army in 1918.
How it is celebrated: solemn ceremonies and wreath-laying take place, and military units hold festive events and meetings with veterans.
Lithuania joined NATO in 2004, and its troops now train and serve abroad alongside allied forces.
