Lithuanian Constitution Day
October 25 · Level 4 · #1406 of 2238

Lithuanian Constitution Day marks the constitution approved by referendum in 1992. It invites people to consider how the country is governed, which rights it protects and what citizens can expect from public institutions.
How it is celebrated: educational events, classroom activities and public discussions explore the constitution. A nationwide Constitution Exam associated with the occasion gives participants a chance to test their knowledge.
The exam is not reserved for lawyers. People from many walks of life can take part, turning a document often left to specialists into the subject of a public knowledge challenge.
