International Riesling Day
March 13 · Level 2 · #1891 of 2238

A toast to one of the world's best-loved white grapes. Riesling can be bone dry, lusciously sweet or even sparkling, and this day invites everyone to try the full range.
How it is celebrated: wine fans hold tastings, compare bottles from different countries and match them with spicy Asian food, fish or cheese. Wineries and wine bars often put special selections on the list.
Riesling comes from the Rhine region of Germany, yet it is now also grown in Alsace, Austria and Australia, including the Clare and Eden Valleys.
