International Day of Police Cooperation
September 7 · Level 9 · #291 of 2238
This UN observance recognizes cooperation between police forces across borders. Sharing information and coordinating investigations can help protect people from international crime, while respect for human rights and the rule of law remains essential.
How it is celebrated: professional meetings, public discussions and awareness campaigns explore joint investigations and cross-border challenges. Events also consider how cooperation can strengthen trust between police and communities.
INTERPOL does not have a travelling force of officers who arrest suspects around the world. It supports information exchange and coordination between national law-enforcement authorities.
