International KVN Day
November 8 · Level 8 · #629 of 2238
International KVN Day brings together players and fans of the team comedy competition. The format rewards more than a good joke: teams write sketches, perform together and come up with quick responses to their opponents.
How it is celebrated: participants organise games and reunions, revisit favourite performances and reconnect with former teammates. For many, the occasion brings back memories of student rehearsals and jokes that still need no explanation among friends.
The date marks KVN's first television broadcast on November 8, 1961. Its Russian initials stand for the “Club of the Funny and Inventive”.
