International Friends Day

International Friends Day is an informal invitation to appreciate the people who make everyday life better. There is no need for an elaborate gift: getting back in touch with someone can be the whole celebration.
How it is celebrated: friends send messages, meet for coffee, take a walk or organise a games night. Phone calls and video chats bring together people living far apart.
The United Nations has a separate International Day of Friendship on 30 July. The June celebration and the UN observance are distinct occasions.
