Hoodie-Hoo Day

A playful send-off for winter: the day when you call on spring to hurry up and tell the cold to leave. The name is just a shout and does not mean anything.

How it is celebrated: at noon, people step outside, raise their arms and yell "Hoodie-hoo!" to chase winter away. You can do it solo or gather a whole office for a group shout.

The date falls about a month before the spring equinox, when winter is often still going strong, so the cheerful yell comes at just the right time.
