Youth and Students’ Day in Belarus
June 28 · Level 9 · #328 of 2238
Belarus celebrates Youth and Students’ Day as an occasion for young people’s ideas, achievements and first independent ventures. Students share the spotlight with young workers and those still deciding what they would like to do.
How it is celebrated: concerts, sports competitions and youth festivals bring people together. Career events introduce potential employers, while performances and award ceremonies recognise creative work and community projects.
The celebration moves around the calendar: it falls on the last Sunday in June. That makes 28 June the correct date only in certain years.
