March 31 · Level 7 · #848 of 2238
Chemical Industry Workers' Day in Turkmenistan recognizes the people who turn natural resources into useful substances and materials. Engineers, plant operators, technicians and laboratory staff all contribute to an industry that produces fertilizers, polymers and other chemical products.
How it is celebrated: workplaces congratulate their teams, recognize professional achievements and honor experienced employees. Celebratory gatherings offer a chance to acknowledge the people behind the industry’s daily operations and discuss its accomplishments.
Natural gas does more than fuel chemical plants. It also supplies feedstock for making ammonia, which is used to produce nitrogen fertilizers for agriculture.
