Dance Like a Chicken Day
May 14 · Level 6 · #1065 of 2238

This silly day gives you full permission to flap your wings, snap your beak and strut like a chicken. The moves are so simple that everyone can join in.
How it is celebrated: people put on the famous Chicken Dance tune, form a circle and copy the routine of beak claps, wing flaps and a squat. It is a favourite at weddings, school parties and office events.
The tune was written by Swiss accordionist Werner Thomas in the 1950s, and it started out as a duck dance.
