Archivists’ Day in Belarus
October 6 · Level 1 · #2116 of 2238
Archivists’ Day in Belarus recognises the specialists who preserve documents and help people use them. Their work supports historical research, family discoveries and the evidence needed to establish individual rights.
How it is celebrated: archives prepare document exhibitions, professional gatherings and public learning events. Staff receive congratulations and awards, while visitors learn about collections, research and the care of old records.
An archive can help with a present-day pension question: employment records may provide proof of years worked. Its shelves hold practical evidence as well as history.
