Armenian Missile and Artillery Troops Day
October 19 · Level 10 · #123 of 2238
Armenian Missile and Artillery Troops Day honours the service members who provide the army's missile and artillery support. It recognises training, teamwork and the responsibility involved in operating complex military equipment for national defence.
How it is celebrated: military units hold ceremonial formations, deliver congratulations and present awards to distinguished personnel. Events also recall unit histories, veterans' service and colleagues who have died.
Artillery accuracy involves much more than the weapon itself. Measurements, calculations and weather conditions all matter, so a single shot can depend on specialists performing very different jobs.
