World Art Day
April 15 · Level 5 · #1217 of 2238
This is a day to talk about how art connects people across countries and cultures. It reminds us that creativity belongs not only to professionals but to everyone.
How it is celebrated: museums and galleries open exhibitions and offer tours, artists run workshops and group painting sessions, and plenty of people simply pick up a brush or a pencil. Photos of the results often get shared online.
The date honours the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, born on 15 April 1452, and UNESCO officially recognised the day in 2019.
