Water Transport Workers' Day in Belarus

Belarus celebrates the crews and shore teams who keep its water transport moving. The day recognizes people working aboard vessels, in ports and in repair services, whose combined efforts support inland freight and passenger journeys.
How it is celebrated: transport enterprises congratulate their staff, recognize achievements and honor industry veterans. Workplace celebrations acknowledge both those who sail and those who prepare and maintain vessels on shore.
A coastline is not a requirement for a shipping industry. Landlocked Belarus has navigable rivers, with the Pripyat and Dnieper forming important inland routes.
