World Kidney Day
March 12 · Level 6 · #1105 of 2238

World Kidney Day raises awareness of kidney health, early detection and access to treatment. The international campaign puts a spotlight on organs that do essential work every day, usually without us giving them much thought.
How it is celebrated: medical teams and patient organizations run awareness events, educational talks and screening activities. They explain what kidneys do and discuss factors that can affect their health.
This observance moves around the calendar: it falls on the second Thursday in March. That makes 12 March the date in 2026, but the same date does not apply every year.
