Sticker Day
January 13 · Level 2 · #1965 of 2238
A day for the world's stickiest little pictures. Stickers decorate notebooks, laptops, suitcases and fridges, and quietly show what we like.
How it is celebrated: people put favourite stickers on laptops and water bottles, swap them with friends, design their own and hand out whole sheets to kids.
The self-adhesive label as a commercial product is credited to R. Stanton Avery, who started his company in Los Angeles in the 1930s.
