Russian Scrap Recycling Workers’ Day
April 19 · Level 3 · #1697 of 2238
Russian Scrap Recycling Workers’ Day recognizes the people who put discarded metal back into production. Collectors, sorters, engineers and equipment operators turn old materials into useful feedstock, helping reduce the demand for newly mined ore.
How it is celebrated: businesses and industry associations congratulate their teams, recognize experienced employees and share professional achievements. Attention centres on the people behind reliable sorting, processing and safe operations.
A magnet can separate steel, but it cannot do the whole sorting job. Aluminium, for example, can be recovered from mixed material using an eddy-current separator.
