Day of Remembrance for All Victims of Chemical Warfare
November 30 · Level 8 · #576 of 2238

This international day honours people killed or harmed by chemical weapons. It is also a reminder that such tragedies must never be repeated.
How it is celebrated: people observe moments of silence, lay flowers at memorials and attend exhibitions and conferences. Support for survivors and those still affected gets special attention.
In 2013 the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons won the Nobel Peace Prize for its work to eliminate chemical arms.
