International Yada Yada Yada Day is a playful nod to the phrase we use to skip the boring or awkward parts of a story. It celebrates the art of getting to the point.
How it is celebrated: friends and coworkers sprinkle "yada yada yada" into conversations, rewatch favourite sitcom episodes, and try to retell long stories in a single breath.
The phrase got a huge boost from the 1997 Seinfeld episode "The Yada Yada", in which a character uses it to gloss over the inconvenient details of her stories.
