Administrative Professionals’ Day
April 22 · Level 3 · #1721 of 2238

Administrative Professionals’ Day recognises secretaries, executive assistants and other administrative staff. It celebrates the people who coordinate schedules, keep communication moving and help a workplace make sense of its many moving parts.
How it is celebrated: managers and colleagues offer thanks, flowers or small gifts, or take the team to lunch. Professional associations also arrange learning sessions and opportunities to exchange experience.
The occasion grew out of National Secretaries Week, first held in the United States in 1952. Its English name later changed to reflect the wider range of jobs within administrative work.
