International Day of Balanced and Inclusive Education

This day reminds us that everyone should be able to learn, and that what we teach should reflect many cultures, languages and experiences rather than a single view of the world.

How it is celebrated: schools and universities hold open lessons and discussions, teachers compare notes on making classes more accessible, and organisations present projects for learners the education system once overlooked.

The right to education is written into Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948.
