International Day of Digital Learning
March 19 · Level 4 · #1349 of 2238

UNESCO created this day to remind us that learning has long since left the classroom: lessons now happen on screens, in apps and in online courses. The big question is how to make digital education useful and open to everyone, not only to people with fast internet and a shiny new laptop.
How it is celebrated: schools, universities and training centres host open online lessons, workshops and debates about using technology wisely and safely. At work, a team can hold a quick skill swap, where everyone shows one handy tool or trick.
The day was proclaimed by UNESCO and first observed in 2024, which makes it one of the youngest dates in the education calendar.
