International Asexuality Day

International Asexuality Day

Asexual people feel little or no sexual attraction to others. This day helps explain what that means in plain words and shows the community that it is seen and supported.

How it is celebrated: community groups host online meetups and talks, people share their own stories, and friends and colleagues read up to understand the topic better. Social media fills with posts in the colours of the asexual flag.

The asexual flag has four horizontal stripes: black, grey, white and purple. Black stands for asexuality, grey for the grey area, white for allies and purple for the community.
