Falling Needles Family Fest Day

This playful family day is dedicated to the Christmas tree and the needles that inevitably end up on the floor by late December. It is a chance to laugh about holiday cleanup together.
How it is celebrated: families sweep needles off the rug, top up the tree stand with water so the tree lasts longer, and swap funny tree stories. Kids are often happy to grab the dustpan and brush.
Not every tree sheds equally: the Nordmann fir is well known for holding on to its needles much longer than many other species.
