Esports Day in Russia
July 7 · Level 8 · #605 of 2238
Russia's Esports Day celebrates competitive gaming and the players, teams and tournament crews behind it. Fast reactions matter, but so do preparation, tactical thinking and knowing when to listen to a teammate.
How it is celebrated: gaming communities hold tournaments and friendly matches, while fans watch broadcasts and revisit memorable wins. Amateur teams can mark the occasion with a few games together and a chance to practise their coordination.
Russia recognized computer sport in 2001. Its formal sporting history therefore reaches back well before large-scale game streaming became an everyday part of online entertainment.
