World Brain Day
July 22 · Level 5 · #1157 of 2238

World Brain Day puts neurological health and the experiences of people with neurological conditions in the spotlight. Launched by the World Federation of Neurology in 2014, it helps bring specialist knowledge and discussions about access to care to a wider audience.
How it is celebrated: neurologists and patient groups organise talks, webinars and public awareness campaigns. An annual theme gives these activities a shared focus, from particular conditions to broader questions of care.
The date doubles as an organisational birthday: the World Federation of Neurology was founded on 22 July 1957.
