Rose Day
February 7 · Level 3 · #1741 of 2238

Rose Day opens Valentine's Week, which is widely observed in India and some neighbouring countries. A flower changes hands that day to say you care, whether that means love, a crush or plain friendship.
How it is celebrated: people give roses to partners, friends and classmates, and offices and campuses fill up with bouquets. The colour sends the message: red stands for romance, yellow for friendship.
The week runs up to 14 February, and every day has its own name. After Rose Day come Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day and more, until Valentine's Day itself.
