International School Library Day
October 26 · Level 6 · #1053 of 2238

International School Library Day celebrates the place where a school can turn curiosity into discovery. It recognizes librarians and the resources that help students enjoy reading, find information and make sense of what they learn.
How it is celebrated: schools organize book displays, author visits, shared reading and sessions on finding trustworthy sources. Students exchange recommendations and get to know the work behind the library desk.
The celebration grew into a whole month: since 2008, International School Library Month has given schools throughout October the flexibility to choose dates that suit them.
