International Harry Potter Day
May 2 · Level 9 · #254 of 2238

Fans of J.K. Rowling's saga mark the date on which the Battle of Hogwarts takes place in the books. It is a good excuse to revisit favourite characters and step back into the wizarding world.
How it is celebrated: fans pull on house scarves and robes, host film marathons, themed quizzes and butterbeer parties. Some read a favourite chapter aloud, and others simply message a friend the word "Always".
The first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, has been translated into Latin and Ancient Greek, so you can follow the young wizard in the languages of ancient scholars.
