Science Day in Ukraine
May 16 · Level 4 · #1391 of 2238
Ukraine's Science Day recognises researchers and their contribution to knowledge. It brings together a wide range of disciplines, from history and language to new materials, space research and medical technology, showing how many different kinds of questions belong within science and scholarship.
How it is celebrated: universities and research institutions organise lectures, conferences, exhibitions and meetings with scientists. Researchers receive professional recognition, while students and schoolchildren learn about scientific work and its results.
The occasion follows a weekday rule rather than a fixed date: it falls on the third Saturday in May, so its calendar number changes each year.
