AI Appreciation Day

This light-hearted day is a thank-you to artificial intelligence for the help it gives at work and in study. It is also a nudge to think about how people and smart software can team up.
How it is celebrated: people share stories of how an AI helped with an idea, a translation or a stubborn bit of code, teams run small AI experiments together, and everyone debates what it should learn next. Some even say a polite thank you to their assistant.
The term artificial intelligence comes from a 1955 proposal for a summer workshop at Dartmouth College. The workshop itself took place in 1956 and is often seen as the birth of the field.
